Pound sterling holds on.

At opening of business today (28th April) 9am London time the pound crept back over 1.40 to the euro.The approaching uncertainty of the general election isn't having the effect dealers originally anticipated which is for the pound to lose some of it's gains in the final run up to polling day.However, during the 2010 election with the hung parliament the pound fell 3% in the final hours.It's not too late for the same to happen again with the major parties running neck and neck.

The Pound/ Euro in early trading was 1.2899.Can we expect it to go over 1.30? It's very likely.

Dramatic fall in oil price

In early trading Brent crude dropped to 45$ a barrel.It is predicted that crude oil prices will remain in the 45$ to 60$ range during the next two years mainly due to the slowdown in demand from China.Great news for motorists and transport companies.
